Habitat Improvements and Social Get Together April 2019
Apr 13, 2019
The Inland Empire Chapter of Pheasants Forever is actively involved in environmental and ecological habitat improvements that will not only benefit pheasants, but also benefit all wildlife in eastern Washington. We've made some significant improvements partnering with the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, local property owners, and local businesses.
Join us for our monthly meetings. The Inland Empire Chapter of Pheasants Forever would like to invite all members and interested parties to attend these meetings. We discuss local habitat projects, youth events, or other items related to Pheasants Forever and our local community in Washington. Our new meeting facilty is the Spoakne Fire Department Station #4 at 1515 W 1st Ave, Spokane, WA 99201. Unless posted otherwise, meet us there the 1st Wednesday of every month. Meetings begin at 6:00 PM.
The future of our sport rely on the efforts of those generations younger than us. To help promote those efforts and educate youth in the importance of what Pheasants Forever, we host an annual hunt, showcasing why our organization is important, but at the same time having some fun with our leaders of tomorrow. If you happen by the Bighorn Show (March 19-22, 2020), make sure you stop by our booth and sign your Junior(s) up for our hunt.
While we all like to have fun in the field and chase pheasants for miles, safety is one of the most important aspects. We promote and encourage hunter safety in the field. Hunter education classes show both youth and adults the proper way to hold, maneuver and practice proper gun care. We at Washington believe it is essential for kids to become familiar with gun operation and be comfortable with handling their firearm. For more information on our youth hunts, please contact us through our website. Inland Empire Chapter of Pheasants Forever will hold a fundraiser each year to help fund habitat improvements, youth hunts and education and foster community outreach on the importance of managing our wildlands for all wildlife and the community.
